Batteries

Fumed silica is used in lead-acid batteries, it supports the electrolyte in a gel form which prevents leakage of the contents of the accumulator. Fumed silica does not react with the acid and does not affect the properties of the electrolyte.
It is recommended to use fumed silica of the FUMISIL200 grade.
